ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 23,
1975; FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 1975, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1976, BY
TRANSFERRING $7,500.00 FROM RETAINED EARNINGS
ACCOUNT NO. 3000 IN THE SEWER FUND TO SEWER
MAINTENANCE, SPECIAL SERVICES ACCOUNT NO. 92-
415; AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THIS $7,500.00
TO TURNER, COLLIE & BRADEN, INC. AND SCHAUM-
BURG & POLK, INC. FOR SERVICES RENDERED IN
PREPARATION OF INFILTRATION/INFLOW GRANT APPLI-
CATION.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Beaumont has recom-
mended the transfer of $7,500.00 from Retained Earnings Account No.
3000 in the Sewer Fund to Sewer Maintenance, Special Services Account
No. 92-415 of the City of Beaumont, to cover.the cost of paying Turner,
Collie & Braden, Inc. and Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for services ren-
dered in preparation of the infiltration -inflow grant application; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the necessity for the transfer
from the retained earnings account constitutes a condition which creates
a case of established emergency and that the recommendation of the City
Manager should be approved,, and that -the appropriate City official be
authorized to make payment to Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. and Schaum-
burg & Polk, Inc. in the amount of $7,500.00 for their services ren-
dered in the preparation of the infiltration -inflow grant applications,;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That the budget of the City of Beaumont, adopted on September
23, 1975, for the fiscal period beginning October 1, 1975, and ending
September 30, 1976, be and the same is hereby, amended by transferring
$7,500.00 from Retained Earnings Account No. 3000 in the Sewer Fund to
Sewer Maintenance,Special Services Account No. 92-415, and that the
appropriate -City official is hereby authorized to make payment to
Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. and Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. in the
amount of $7,500.00 for their services rendered in the preparation of
the infiltration -inflow grant application.
