ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 23,
1975, FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 1975, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1976, BY
TRANSFERRING $4,500.00 FROM CONTINGENCY FUND
ACCOUNT NO. 79-420 TO GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT NO.
79-419 AND THENCE TRANSFERRED TO FLEET MAINTE-
NANCE CAPITAL ACCOUNT NO. 98-503; AND AUTHO-
RIZING THE ADVERTISING OF BIDS FROM FLEET MAIN-
TENANCE ACCOUNT NO. 98-503.
WHEREAS, -the City Manager of the City of Beaumont has recom-
mended the transfer of $4,.500.00 from General Fund Contingency Account
No. 79-420 to General Fund Account No. 79-419, and thence. to Fleet
Maintenance Capital Account No. 98-503, all of the City of Beaumont,
to cover the cost of replacing City Automobile No. 10-0219, a 1972
Ford Custom Police vehicle, which 1. was.a total loss; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the necessity for the transfer
from the contingency account constitutes a condition which creates a
case of established emergency and that the recommendation of the City
Manager should be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council feels the need for the appropriate
City official to advertise for bids to replace City Automobile No. 10-
0219;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That the budget of the City of Beaumont, adopted on September
23, 1975, for the fiscal period beginning October 1, 1975, and ending
September 30, 1976, be and the same is hereby, amended by transferring
$4,500.00 from General Fund Contingency Account No. 79-420 to General
Fund, Interfund Transfers Account No. 79-419, and thence transferred
to Fleet Maintenance Capital Account No. 98-503, and that the appro-
priate City official is hereby authorized to advertise for bids to
replace City Automobile No. 10-0219.
