ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS, TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALE
OF BEER AT THE HARVEST CLUB; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL. :
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beau-
mont is hereby amended by amending Section 25.-8(h) to read as follows:
25-8(h): Alcoholic Beverages.
No person shall sell, consume, or possess
any alcoholic beverage within any park of
the city. The prohibition against consump-
tion and possession of alcoholic beverages
shall not apply inside any building except
concession stands at Fair Park. The prohi-
bition against sale of beer shall not apply
inside the Harvest Club.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance or the application 'of same to a particular set of .persons
or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid, such inva-
lidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance,
and to such end the provisions of'this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
