ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A TWENTY FOOT (20') BY SIX HUNDRED SIXTY FOOT
(660') ALLEY IN THE OGDEN ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING THAT A GENERAL
UTILITY EASEMENT IS RETAINED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY'OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
THAT that certain twenty foot (20') by six hundred sixty
foot (660') alley described as follows:
BEING a twenty foot (20') by six hundred sixty
foot (660') alley abutting Lots 1-27 of Block
10 of the Ogden Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, and beginning within
the 2100 block of Victoria at Easy Street and
extending south to Emma Street, as per map or
plat of said Addition filed of Record.in the
Records of the County Clerk of Jefferson County,
Texas;
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title
to such property shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto as provided by law; providing, how-
ever, that the hereinabove described tract of land is expressly
retained by the City of Beaumont for general utility purposes
only, it being the intent of this Ordinance to abandon said
tract of land as an alley but to retain the said tract for
general utility purposes only; title to such property, other
than the rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein, shall
revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto,
as provided by law.
