BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
The City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, hereby finds
and declares the buildings located at 1406 Avenue A, the same being
Lot 1, Block 15, Blanchette Second Addition (08-495-00) to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1138 & 1142 Ashley Street, the
same being Lots 11 & 12 and Parts of Lots 9 & 10, Block 1.6, Chaison
Addition (20-300-00) to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;

1309 Beech Street, the same being Plat A-5, Tract 8, J. Drake Survey
(71-386-00) to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 6775
Bigner Road, the same being Tract 61-A, Block C, Bmt. Imp: Co. (07-
123-00) to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 757 College
Street, the same being Lot 494, Block 64, Beaumont Addition (06-290-00)
to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 735 Cuniff Street,
the same being Plat F, Tract 52, D. Brown. Survey (70-285-00) to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 3170 Elinor Street, the

the same being N/z of 'Lot 1, Block 13, Oakwood Addition (51-165-00) to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 930 Porter Street, the
same being Lots 31 $ 32, Block 3, Herring Addition (35-088-00) to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; 1808 Railroad Avenue Rear,
the same being Lot 7, Block 15, Ogden Addition (52-193-00) to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and 1425 Royal, the same being
Lot 1, Block 15, Blanchette Second Addition (08-495-00) to the City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; each to be a public nuisance in that
said buildings are for want of repairs, or by reason of age or dilapi-
dated condition, liable to cause or promote fires that would endanger
persons or property.
Section 2.
In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of
the City of Beaumont, and Section 13-20 of the Code or Ordinances of
of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Southern Standard Building
Code, the same having been incorporated by reference into the ordinances
of the City of Beaumont by Section 8-1 of said ordinances, it is hereby

ordered that the owner or owners of the buildings located upon the
above-described property in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, demolish and tear down within thirty (30) days of the date of
the passage of this ordinance, said structures so located on the above-
described property; and, if such action is not taken, the owners of
said buildings shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and said build-
ings shall be demolished and removed at the expense of the City of
Beaumont.on the account of the owner thereof; and such expense shall
be assessed as a special tax against the property upon which said
buildings are situated and a lien shall exist for such special tax,
which lien shall be foreclosed and said expense be recovered by the
City of Beaumont as in the case of any other debt and lien.in favor of
the City of Beaumont.
