ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT BY RE-
PEALING SECTIONS 12-34 AND 12-35 AND PROVIDING NEW
SECTIONS 12-34 AND 12-35, ADOPTING A NEW POSITION"
CLASSIFICATION -COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OFA
BEAUMONT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section '1.
THAT Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of.the City of Beaumont is here-
by amended by repealing present Sections 12-34 and 12-35 and adopting new
Sections 12-34 and 12-35 to read as follows:
Section 12-34: The .position classifications as
set forth in the Classification -Compensation Plan
on file in the office of the City Clerk on June
24, 1975, are hereby adopted.
Section 12-35: The compensation plan and salary
grades for all classes or positions as set forth
in the Classification -Compensation Plan on file
in the office of the City Clerk as of June 24,
1975,.are hereby adopted.
Section '2.
THAT this ordinance shall become effective from and after the date of
July 1, 1975.
Section '3.
THAT if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordi-
nance or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circum-
stances should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall
in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such
end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section: 4.
THAT all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are here-
by repealed.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1975.
