ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE $50.00 FEE
FOUND IN APPENDIX "M", PARAGRAPH "B" OF THE
SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING CODE AS AMENDED AS
TO THE BEAUMONT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
FOR THE MOVING OF PORTABLE BUILDINGS; PROVID-
ING FOR REFUND OF ANY FEES HERETOFORE PAID;
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERA-
BILITY..
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Independent School District, as a result
of changing school populations and the necessity of closing schools,
will, during the summer, be required to move a large volume of portable
buildings; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to waive a Fifty and No/100 ($50.00)
Dollar fee provided in its building code for the moving of such struc-
tures in that such fee would provide an undue hardship for the school
district;
NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
1.
That the $50.00 fee provided for the moving of structures with-
in the city limits of the City of Beaumont as found in Appendix."M",
Paragraph "B" of the Southern Standard Building Code as amended, is
hereby waived as to the Beaumont Independent; School District for the
period of time commencing May 25, 1975, and expiring August 25, 19750
for the moving of portable buildings. Any fee heretofore paid by said
Beaumont Independent School District for such moving shall be refunded
to them by the appropriate municipal officer.

That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of persons

or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid, such
invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the provisions of tis ordinance are de-
clared to be severable.
