ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 24, 1974, FOR
THE FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1974, AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1975, BY TRANSFERRING $50,000
FROM CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT NO. 79-420 TO VARIOUS
OTHER CITY ACCOUNTS AND TRANSFERRING $268,438 FROM
UNAPPROPRIATED RESERVES TO VARIOUS OTHER CITY
ACCOUNTS.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Beaumont has recom-
mended the transfer of $50,000 from the Contingency Account of the
City of Beaumont to cover unforeseen items of expenditure which create
a case of public emergency; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer of
$268,438 from unappropriated reserves to various City accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the necessity for the transfer
of unappropriated reserves and that the transfer from the contingency
account constitutes an unforeseen condition and creates a case of
established emergency and that the recommendation of the City Manager
should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That the budget of the City of Beaumont, adopted on September
24, 1974, for the fiscal period beginning October 1, 1974, and ending
September 30, 1975, be and the same is hereby amended by transferring
$50,000 from the Contingency Account No. 79-420 to the following
accounts in the following amounts:
