ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABAN-
DONING A PORTION OF BONHAM STREET BETWEEN
AVENUE A AND AVENUE C, IN THE VAN WORMER
2ND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT)
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
HEREIN.

WHEREAS, Rucker -Shaffer Corporation,being the only
abutting property owner of the portion of Bonham Street
between Avenue A and Avenue C. as more particularly described
herein, has requested that said portion of Bonham Street be
vacated and abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, said request. has been referred to the Planning
and Zoning Commission of the City of Beaumont for examination
and approval, and the same has been approved by said Commission;
and,
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is to
the best interest of the City of Beaumont and benefit to the
public that the hereinafter described portion of Bonham Street
be vacated and abandoned;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the following described portion of Bonham Street in the
City of Beaumont, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated
and abandoned and that title to said portion of said vacated
and abandoned street shall revert -to and become the property
of the person entitled thereto, as provided by law, said
portion being described as follows:
BEING that portion of Bonham Street measuring fifty
(50) feet in width and six hundred twenty (620) feet
in length beginning at the western boundary of Avenue
A and extending west and the eastern boundary of
Avenue C, in the Van Wormer 2nd Addition to the City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.
