ORDINANCE NO.'
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF STATES
UTILITIES COMPANY TO'PLACE IN EFFECT REVISED
SCHEDULE, TO WIT: REVISED SCHEDULE LPS, LARGE
POWER SERVICE AND TO CANCEL SCHEDULES LIS,
LARGE INDUSTRIAL SERVICE, LIS -.OP, RIDER TO
SCHEDULE LIS FOR SHORT TERM SERVICE, 460, RIDER
FOR AUXILIARY OR STANDBY_ SERVICE AND RIDER 470,
RIDER FOR INTERRUPTIBLE SERVICE, EFFECTIVE AS
TO SERVICE RENDERED BY SUCH COMPANY ON AND AFTER
APRIL 1, 1975.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company has requested authority
to place into effect revised Schedule LPS and to cancel Rate Schedule
LIS, LIS -ST, LIS -OP, 460 and 470; such revised schedule has been filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont and approved by the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place into
effect to its customers located in Beaumont, Texas, revised Rate Schedule
LPS and to cancel Rate Schedules LIS, LIS -OP, LIS -ST, 460 and 470 as to
service rendered on and after April 1, 1975. '
Section 2.
THAT nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner
now or hereafter limiting or modifying the right and power of the City
Council under the law to regulate the rates charged by Gulf States Utili-
ties Company for its service within the City of Beaumont, Texas.
Section 3.
THAT all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
