ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET -.OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 24,
1974) FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER
1, 1974, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1975, BY
TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $3009000 FROM UNAPPRO-
PRIATED RESERVES TO ACCOUNT NO.�79-509, AND
TRANSFERRING $2,500 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED RE-
SERVES TO ACCOUNT NO. 11-201.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the transfer of
$300,000 of unappropriated reserves to Account No. 79-509 to pay the
City's matching portion for the purchase of.twenty-five (25) b,uses for
the Beaumont Transit System, and $2,500 from unappropriated reserves
to Account No. 11-201 to pay for the publication of the annual activi-
ties report for the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the need for these transfers
constitutes -an unforseen condition and creates a case of grave public
necessity and that the recommendation of the City Manager should be ap-
proved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:

That the budget of the City of Beaumont, adopted on September
24, 1974, for the fiscal period beginning October -1,,1974, and ending
September 30, 1975, be and the,same is hereby, amended by transferring
$300,000 from unappropriated reserves to Account No. 79-509, and $2,500
from unappropriated reserves to Account No. 11-201.
