ON MAGIIOLIA AVENUE BY THE BEAUL,,IOITT TRACT �

The Beaumont Traction Company, or the Receiv-
er thereof, is hereby granted authority to constrict a
long switch on T.lagnolia avenue, approximately one thou-
sand (1000) feet, or twelve hivadrecl (1200) feet long, and
extending from the present switch just north of Gladys
Avenue northward to a point at or near Isla Avenue, on
Magnolia Avenue.
The said stziitch is to be constructed approx-
ilnately on ten foot (10) centers, placed on concrete
foundations, and under the general specifications con-
tained in -the franchise granted to the Beaumont Traction
Company by' the City Council of Be u or t , which v,. -as pass -
at its final} on 1911.
Further, said track is to be placed under the
supervision, and in accordance with the plans specified
by the City Engineer of Beaumont.

We,your St. & B. Committee,to Ab.om was referred the
attached application of Beaumont Traction Company to install ae
switch on Vagnolia Ave. between Gladys Avenue and Isla Avenue,
approximating 1000 feet to 1200 feet, beg to recommend that said
petition be granted;and that the permit hereto attached be ap-
proved by the Council this the 6th day of June,191.1.

Please present to the Council the enclosed
resolution for a permit to the Beaumont Traction Com-
pany, and to meas Receiver therefor,.to build a long
switch extending, approximately, -from Gladys Ave. to
Isla Ave., on Magnolia Ave.; said switch to be in lieu
of the zgitch now in place just north of Gladys Avenue.
This switch is for the purpose of facilitating
the movement of cars on Magnolia eve. with as little
loss of time in gaiting at the switch as is possible.
I am satisfied that the new switch will give better ser-
vice to the public and also to the Traction Company.
I will thank you to have the Council pass on
this permit on Tuesday, June 6th.
