ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 37, SECTION
37-124 BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION 37-124(C); PROVID-
ING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PARKING METERS ON CITY -
OWNED LAND BOUNDED BY MAIN, WALL, MARKET AND COLLEGE
STREETS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL; AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY.'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

Section 37-124 of the Code of Ordinances `of the City of Beau-
mont is hereby amended by adding a new subsection 37-124(c) to read as
follows:
37-124(c): The City Traffic Engineer is hereby
authorized to install parking meters in the fol-
lowing described tract of land: Said tract of
land bounded by Main, Wall, Market and College
Streets in the city of Beaumont, Texas. The
herein described tract of land is hereby de-
clared to be a parking meter zone that is neces-
sary to aid in the regulation, control, and in-
spection of the parking of vehicles.
Section '2.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section '3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this ordinance are de-
clared to be severable.
