74-40
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
THAT PORTION OF WEST HIGHLAND DRIVE FROM
THE VIRGINIA ESTATES ADDITION WEST TO CAR-
DINAL DRIVE, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
NOW, THEREFORE, -BE IT CRDAINED-BY THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT:
That that certain thirty (30') foot wide street.right-of-way-a-a--
described as follows:
BEING 0.85 acre tract of land out of the
ANNIE T. WARREN SUBDIVISION in the J. W.
BULLOCK LEAGUE Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas and lying adjacent to and South of
Lots 2 and 5 of said subdivision and lying
adjacent to and North of Lots 3 and 6 of
said subdivision, said ANNIE T. WARREN
SUBDIVISION being recorded in Volume 1
Page 71 of the Map Records of .Jefferson
County, Texas and said portion of West
Highland Drive to be closed being more
particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows;
FOR locative corner begin at'an iron stake
in the East line of Usan drainage ditch
and the North line of West Highland Drive,
said iron stake locating the�Southwest
corner of Virginia Estates Addition;
THENCE South with the. East line of said
drainage ditch 30 feet to a,point locating
the Northeast and the beginning point of
the tract of land herein described;
THENCE West with the South line of Lot 5
and Lot 2 of the ANNIE T. WARREN SUBDIVISION
1275.03 feet to an iron stake in the North
right-of-way line of Cardinal Drive;
THENCE South 71 degrees 07 minutes 30 seconds
East with the North .line of Cardinal Drive
92.73 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE East with the 'North line of .Lot 3
and Lot 6 of said ANNIE T. WARREN SUBDIVISION
1187.28 feet to a point in the East line of
the Usan drainage ditch;
THENCE North with said East line 30 feet to
the place of beginning
