BE IT ORDAINED BY TIS' CITY COTJ-'L CIL OF TEE CITY OF BRAT-139ONT:
Section -1-
That the Sa--riitary Receptacle Com-oa,ny in its own right
and +he.rights of its successors and assiuns, is hereby granted the
permission and priviledge to locate, operate, and maintain sanitary
trash receptacles on the outer edge of the side walks along the
-streets and intersections of streets in .the City of Beaiunont, not
to -exceed a total number of sixteen of such sanitary receptacles in
and around one.square block in the City of Beaumont. A_nd the said
receotacles, when so located on said blocks, shall be labled
e�"POLIrE PROTECTED", a.nd to be under police protection of the City

priviledge of -placing commerci.a,l and industrial advertisement on
said sanitary trash receptacles with p-aint in a neat.and orderly
manner-, provided in no event that said company'shall.place thereon

That in granting the rights and privileges to the
Sanitary Receptacle Company to place,maintain and operate sanitary
trash.receptacles on the sidewalks along the streets in the City of
Beaumont, it is understood and aer: t said receptacles are
to be for the exclusive use of t eh' - y o"e►atunnnt in taking care
of street trash and waste material , which would otherwise be thrown
on the streets and"sidewalks; that said receptacles are in no way
to take the place of or interfere with the individual trash cans al-
ready or that may be hereafter located,on the streets of the City of
Beaumont,except by special agrebtent entered into and made with the
Sanitary Receptacle Company by individual persons,firms or corpora-
tions using trash receptacles.
The -said. Sanitary Receptacle Company, its successors and '
assigns shall. fasten said sanitary trash receotacles to the side walk
ola
v iron bolts in a wornan-like manner, and shall keen said re-
dEptacles ina neat, -cleanly condition.at all times and cause the
said receptacles to be emotied of their trash and the trash carted
away at least once every two weeks, at its own expense; and shall
observe such rules and regulations as may be ador_,ted from time to
time by the said council regulating the use and operation of said
sanitary trash receptacles.

The rights, aii.t'aorities, and -oriviledges hereby granted

Your committee to whom was referred the
application of Sanitary Receptacle Company, represented by
O.C.Soots to grant said Company the privilege of erecting
and maintaining trash cans along the Streets of Beaumont,
beg to report.that we have duly considered said matter and
find no objection to granting the request of said Company
the right to erect and maintain its standard cans for the
reception of trash, as shown by the application hereto attached
marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, and your
committee recommends that the application, contract and -this.
report all be referred.to the City Attorney and Ordinance
Committee to prepare suitable Ordinance granting and regulating
the privilege of said Company in erecting and maintaining its
trash cans.
Respectfully submitted, on this the 2nd day of
February, 1909.

Deing desirous of establishing ^nd maintianing a system
of Trash peceptacles in yovs city, the same as is being used in
mapy cities of the south with entire satisfaction, I herewith
submit for your approval or rejection the fo1lo;rg blank contract
subject, of course, to any reasonable alterations or ETiendrlents that
you may deem necessary to suit local conditions.
The cans that ire propose to furnish to the City
are the same os samples shown and as descriptive circular her ewith
attached and which is made a part of thft petition.

Receptacle CoriLpany is willing to furnish good and sufficient bond

It is hereby agreed between THE SANITARY RECEPTACLE
