ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 42-44 ADOPT-
ING OFFICIAL STREET STANDARDS, AS REVISED -AND -FILED
IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK ON JANUARY 29, 1974;
PROVIDING FOF SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL
OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:

That Section 42-44 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont shall be amended to read as follows:
"Section 42-44: Official Street Construction Stan-
dards and Specifications Adopted.
The official street construction standards dated
February 1, 1972, with amendments dated February 13,
1973, and January 29, 1974, and the official street
construction specifications dated February 1, 1972,
with amendments dated February 13, 1973, for the con-
struction of streets in the City of Beaumont are here-
by incorporated into and made a part of this section
by reference and shall be on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
Sect'ioii '2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance and to such end the various portions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable,
Sect'iori -3.
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
