ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A TEN (10') FOOT WIDE RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AVALON
STREET AND THE OLD COLLEGE STREET EXTENSION,
RETAINING SAME AS A UTILITY EASEMENT, AS DE-
SCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That that portion of Avalon Street and the old College Street
extension, as said rights-of-way are hereinafter described,
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be and the
same is hereby vacated and abandoned, said portion of said
street rights-of-way to be abandoned being described as fol-
lows, to -wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the westerly
extension of said present Highway 90
north right-of-way line, said point
being twenty-five (25') feet west of
the southwest corner of Lot 6A, Block
C of the Mayfair Addition to The City
of Beaumont;
THENCE north, five (5') feet from and
parallel to the centerline, and its
extension north, of Avalon Street to
the north right-of-way line of West
College Street (Old Liberty Road - Old
Highway 90)
THENCE west ten (10') feet along the
north right-of-way line of said West
College Street to a point five (5') feet
from, at right angles, the northerly ex-
tension of the centerline of Avalon
Street;
THENCE south five (5') feet from and
parallel to the northerly extension of
and the centerline of Avalon Street to
a point in the westerly extension of the
north right-of-way line of Highway 90
(College Street Extension), said point
being west thirty-five (35') feet from
the southwest corner of said Lot 6A,
Block C of the Mayfair Addition;
THENCE east along the westerly extension
of said Highway 90 (College Street Exten-
sion) a distance of ten (10') feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.

PROVIDED, HOWEVER;. that the hereinabove .described.
area, while being abandoned for streetright-of-way, shall.,
and is hereby, retained by The City -of Beaumont,as a utility
easement.
