ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT BY REPEALING
SECTION 12-34 OF SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES AND ENACTING
A NEW SECTION 12-34 IN LIEU THEREOF; BY REPEALING
SECTION 12-35 OF SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES AND ENACTING
A NEW SECTION 12-35 IN LIEU THEREOF; AMENDING THE
11MANUAL OF CLASS SPECIFICATIONS" AND THE "CLASSIFI-
CATION AND PAY PLAN"; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont is hereby amended by repealing Section 12-34 of said Code
of Ordinances and enacting a new Section 12-34 in lieu thereof,
which said new Section 12-34 shall read as follows:
"Sec. 12-34
Classes adopted.
"The classes set forth in the 'Manual of Class
Specifications' included in the position classifica-
tion -compensation plan as amended on January 2, 1974,
on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby
adopted."
Section 2_
That Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont is hereby amended by repealing Section 12-35 of said Code
of Ordinances and enacting a new Section 12-35 in lieu thereof,
which said new Section 12-35 shall read as follows:
11Sec. 12-35. Classification and pay plan adopted.
The compensation plan and salary grades for
all classes or positions as set forth in the
'Classification and Pay Plan' included in the
position classification -compensation plan as
amended on,January 2, 1974, on file in the office
of the City Clerk are hereby adopted."
Section 3.
The Position Classification - Compensation Plan herein adopted
shall be effective from and after January 1, 1974.
Section 4..
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
