AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE
A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED CONVEYING PART OF LOT
FOUR (4), BLOCK FOUR (4), VIRGINIA ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TO J. C. EBNER AND WIFE BLANCH
EBNER, IN CONSIDERATION OF FIVE -HUNDRED (6500.00)
DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, The. City of Beaumont is'the owner of the here-
inafter described land and premises; and,
WHEREAS, J. C. Ebner and wife, Blanch Ebner, are the
owners of the remainder of said Lot Four (4), herein described,
and are desirous of purchasing same from The City of Beaumont
for the sum. of Five Hundred ($500.00)Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to be to the best interest of The
City of Beaumont to sell said land to J. C. Ebner and wife, Blanch
Ebner, for said consideration; the land which is to be conveyed,
as aforesaid, being more particularly described as follows, to wit:
Being a part of Lot Four (4), Block Four (4), Vir-
ginia Addition to The City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, and.being all of that part of said
Lot excepted in that certain conveyance from The
City of Beaumont to Lorraine Cravey, dated June 13,
1949, and of record in Volume 737, page 499, Deed
Records of Jefferson County, Texas, and reference
is hereby made to such deed for a more particular
description of the property herein conveyed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT, TEXAS:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of The City of Beaumont a Special Warranty Deed conveying
to J. C. Ebner and wife, Blanch Ebner, the above described prop..
erty upon receipt of the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and to
affix the official seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
