HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 18-Xbo e P. � 1�5 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE WORK OF IMPROVING REDWOOD DRIVE FROM THE CENTERLINE OF BLOCK THREE (3) TO THE SOUTH LINE OF FRENCH ROAD, MINGLEWOOD DRIVE FROM THE CENTER- LINE OF BLOCK THREE (3) TO THE NORTH CURB LINE OF OAKWOOD LANE, AND OAKWOOD LANE FROM THE EAST LINE OF REDWOOD DRIVE TO THE WEST LINE OF MINGLE - WOOD DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: d_�'ce.. t 1 S X 3 -cWS=A /e/S`�s That the work of improving the following described streets in The City of Beaumont, Texas, to wit: Redwood Drive from the centerline of Block 3, Minglewood Addition, to the south line of French Road .with five (5") inches of reinforced concrete paving with integral curb; Minglewood Drive from the centerline of Block 3, Minglewood Addition, to the north curb line of Oakwood Lane with six (611) inches of reinforced concrete paving with integral. curb; Oakwood Lane from the east line of Redwood Drive to the west line of Minglewood Drive with five (5") inches of reinforced concrete paving with integral curb, has been completed by Combest, Inc., Contractors, and the City Engineer of The City of Beaumont, having examined said work and found that it has been completed in a proper and highly satisfactory manner and in full accordance with the minimum standard requirements of The City of Beaumont for the type of construction made thereon; and the.said City Engineer having approved and recommended the acceptance of such work by the City Council of The City of Beaumont and the assumption by The ;City of Beaumont of the obligation of maintenance of said streets within the limits designated, according to the standards pre- scribed for maintenance of other dedicated streets in The City of Beaumont, and said work and improvements having been examined and found by the Mayor and.the City Council of The City of Beau- mont to have been performed and completed in full compliance with the minimum standard requirements of The City of Beaumont for such construction, said improvements are hereby accepted and received by said City Council of The City of Beaumont, and the City Council, acting for The City of Beaumont, hereby as- sumes the obligation of maintaining said streets within the limits designated according to the standards prescribed for maintenance of other dedicated streets in `..The City of Beaumort. '� March 19, 1952 Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Beaumont Beaumont, Texas Gentlemen: Combest, Incorporated has paved REDW100D DRIVE from the center line of Block 3 Minglewood Addition to the south line of French Road with five (5) inches of reinforced concrete paving with integral curb; MINGIOV00D DRIVE from the center line of Block 3 Minglewood Addition to the north curb line of Oakwood Lane with six (6) inches of reinforced concrete paving with integral curb; OAKWOOD LANE from the east line of Redwood Drive to the west line of Ninglewood Drive with five (5) inches of re— inforced concrete paving with integral curb. I have examined this work, accompanied by Mr. Harvey Trahan, and it is my recommendation that the City accept the above streets for permanent maintenance. Respectfully yours, J. D.
