AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND CLOSING
OF A PORTION OF HOLLYWOOD AVENUE ABUTTING LOTS
TWENTY-FOUR (24) THROUGH.THIRTY-ONE (31), BLOCK TWO
(2) OF HOLLYWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
THAT the hereinafter described portion of Hollywood Avenue abut-
ting Lots Twenty -Four (24) through Thirty -One (31), Block ,'Two
(2) of the Hollywood Addition to The City of Beaumont, be, and
the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and closed, and that
the title to said vacated and closed portion of said street shall
revert to and become the property of the persons legally entitled
thereto under the laws of the State of Texas and the ordinances
of the City of Beaumont, said abandoned portion of Hollywood Ave-
nue being described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot Thirty -One
(31), Block Two (2), Hollywood Addition to The City
of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, said point ly-
ing in the east line of Canal Street (formerly Dewey
Street) at a distance of twelve and seventy-seven
hundredths (12.77) feet north of the northwest corner
of Block Six (6) of the West End Addition;
Thence north seventy-three (73) degrees 35 minutes
east four hundred eighty-two (482) feet, more or
less, to corner in the north line of Lot Twenty -Four
(24), Block Two (2), Hollywood Addition, at a dis-
tance of thirty-nine and twenty-four hundredths (39.24)
feet west of the northeast corner of said Lot Twenty -
Four (247;
Thence south 77 degrees 15 minutes west four hundred
seventy-three and six tenths (473.6) feet, more or
less, to corner in the east Eine of Canal Street (for-
merly Dewey Street) produced northward;
Thence south 00 degree 40 minutes west along the east
line of said Canal Street (formerly Dewey Street) pro-
duced thirty-one and sixty-six hundredths (31.66) feet
to the place of beginning.
