ENTITLED AN ORDINANC19 AUTHORIZING THE VACATING AND
CLOSING.OF JOHNSON STREET -BETWEEN CLEVELAND -AVENUE
AND STEELTON AVENUE, IN THE PINECREST ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.
WHEREAS, a portion of Pinecrest Addition to The City of
Beaumont has heretofore been replatted and is now known as Lynwood
Terrace Addition, and said replat has been approved by the City
Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, in the replatting of said Pinecrest Addition it
was necessary to vacate and close certain streets located therein,
and through error Johnson Street between.Cleveland Avenue and
Steelton Avenue was not included in those streets closed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is to
the best interest of the City of Beaumont and benefit to the public
that the above mentioned street be vacated and closed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That Johnson Street between Cleveland Avenue and Steelton Avenue
in The City of Beaumont be, and the same is hereby, authorized to be
vacated and closed, and that the title to said vacated and closed
street shall revert to and become the property of the owners of the
land abutting on said vacated and closed street, as provided by law.
