AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFI-
CIALS OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE A QUIT-
CLAIM DEED FOR AND ON BEHALF.OF SAID CITY, CONVEY-
ING TO BUILDING SUPPLY ENGINEERS, INC., ALL OF ITS
RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST IN AND TO LOTS TWELVE
(12), THIRTEEN (13) AND FOURTEEN (14). IN BLOCK
THIRTY-SIX (36) OF THE CARTWRIGHT TERRACE ADDITION
ACCORDING TO THE RE -PLAT OF BLOCKS THIRTY-FIVE (351
AND THIRTY-SIX.(36) OF THE CARTS^1RIGHT TERRACE ADDI-
TION.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of The City
of Beaumont that certain objections have been raised in connection
with title to Lots -.Twelve (12), Thirteen (13) and Fourteen (14) in
Block Thirty-six (36) of the Cartwright Terrace Addition, according
to re -plat of Blocks Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36) of said
Addition, due to the fact that the City acquired an interest in
said lots under the original plat of said Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the present owner of said property, Building Sup-
ply Engineers, Inc., is desirous of having this objection removed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That Otho Plummer, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
for and on behalf of The City of Beaumont a quitclaim deed conveying
all of the City?s right, title and interest in and to Lots Twelve
(12), Thirteen (13) and Fourteen (14) in Block Thirty-six (36) of
the Cartwright Terrace Addition to The City of Beaumont, according
to the re -plat of Blocks Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36) of
said Addition, recorded in Volume 463, Page 332 of the Deed Records
of Jefferson County, Texas, to Building Supply Engineers, Inc., a
Texas Corporation; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest
to said instrument and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont
thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this 3rd day of April, A.D. 1951.
