ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE
AMERICAN NATIONAL BANK OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, FOR THE LEASE
OF A PORTION OF SIDEWALK ON BOVIE.STREET IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT,.TEXAS.
WHEREAS, The American National Bank of Beaumont, Texas, has made
application to The City of Beaumont for the lease of a portion of the side-
walk on Bowie Street of a size of 38 inches by 20 inches for the purpose of
installing and maintaining a sidewalk depository; and,
WHEREAS, a lease agreement has been prepared setting out in detail
the terms of the agreement, and the City Council is of the opinion that
said lease should be executed by the Mayor for The City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That Otho Plummer, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of The City of Beaumont a lease agreement between The City of Beaumont
and The American National Bank of Beaumont, Texas, for the lease to said Bank
of a portion of the sidewalk on Bowie Street of a size of 38 inches by 20
inches, as described in said lease agreement; and the City Clerk is author-
ized to attest to same and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this 9th day of January, A. D. 1951.
