AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS,
RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE WORK OF IMPROVING HOLLY-
WOOD -AVENUE FROM ELEVENTH STREET WEST 2766 FEET IN
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT : -
SECTION 1 :
That the work of improving the following described
street in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to -wit :
Hollywood Avenue, from Eleventh Street West 2766 feet,
by raising, grading, filling, widening, paving, repaving, or re-
pairing same -and by constructing such drainage lines and facili-
ties and other incidentals and appurtenances thereto as deemed
necessary and adequate by the City Engineer and as provided for
in the Plans and Specifications therefor, said paving consisting
of the construction of a six (611) inch Reinforced Portland Cement
Concrete Slab, twenty (201) feet -in width, with ditch drainage,
all as provided for in.said Plans and Specifications therefor
prepared.by the City Engineer, and heretofore approved and adopted
by said City Council, and all of same having been performed and
completed in full accordance with all of the terms and provisions
of that certain Contract dated August 12, 1950, between said City
of Beaumont, Texas, and Trotti & Thomson, Inc., and said Plans and
Specifications therein contained; and said City Engineer having
measured, examined and caused to be tested the finished improve-
ments by the means and in the manner provided . by the terms of said
Contract and the Plans and Specifications therein contained, and
said City Engineer having found that such improvements have been
constructed and completed in full compliance with all provisions
of said Contract and said Plans and Specifications, and said City
Engineer having approved and accepted said work and improvements
and having heretofore issued his Certificate of Final Acceptance,
and so certified to said City Council and recommending that said
City Council accept and receive said work and -improvements as
constructed and completed by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., and said
work and improvements having been examined and found by the Mayor
and City Council of said City of Beaumont, Texas, to have been
performed and completed in full compliance with said contract and
said Plans and Specifications therefor, said work and improvements
are hereby found by said City Council to have been performed and
completed by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., in full compliance with
the terms and provisions of said Contract and said Plans and
Specifications therefor, and same are hereby accepted and received
by said City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas.

Gentlemen :
In accordance with the proceedings heretofore had
by your Honorable Body pertaining to the improvement of
Hollywood Avenue, from Eleventh Street West 2766 feet, I
wish to inform you that the Contractor, Trotti & Thomson,
Inc., has performed and completed all of the work of improv-
ing said street in full accordance with the Plans, Specifica-
tions and the Contract therefor dated August 12, 1950, said
work being more particularly described as the construction
thereupon of a six (61t) inch Reinforced Portland 'Cement Con-
crete Slab, twenty (20t) feet in width, with ditch drainage,
drainage lines and facilities and other appurtenances to such
work.
I have this date examined the work done as per that -
certain Contract of August 122 1950, and find that the Con-
tractor, Trotti &.Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in
a proper and highly satisfactory manner, and in full accordance
with the Plans, Specifications and the Contract referred to
herein.
Therefore, I recommend that the City Council accept
and receive this work.
