AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VACTING .AND CLOSING OF
PALMER AVENUE AND THE ALLEYS LOCATED IN THE PALLIER
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.

WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont is in the process of ac-
quiring right of way for the re -location of the T&NO rail-
road track in connection with the Highway 90 Project and in
so doing, it is necessary to acquire property belonging to
w;T.P.H. McFaddin, Jr. located in the Palmer Addition and,
WHEREAS, the said W.P.H. McFaddin, Jr. has requested
that Palmer Avenue and the ten (10) foot alleys lying east
and west of said Palmer Avenue in the Palmer Addition to The
City of Beaumont be vacated and closed and,
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City
Planning Commission for study, investigation and recommenda-
tion to the City Council as to whether such proposal should
be approved, and the City Planning Commission has thoroughly
studied and investigated said proposal and recommended to the
City Council that the approval of said proposal would be to
the best interest and benefit of -the -public, and that said
proposal should, therefore, be approved; and,
T.ITHEREAS, The City Council is of the opinion that it is
to the'best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit.to
the public.that the above-mentioned street and alleys be vacat-
ed and closed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAM11ONT:
That Palmer Avenue located in the Palmer Addition of The City
of Beaumont and the ten (10) foot alleys lying east and west
of said Palmer Avenue be, and the same are hereby authorized
to be vacated and closed, and that the title to said vacated
and closed street and all.eys shall revert to and become the
property of the parties entitled thereto, as provided by law.

1950.
