AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING SALES OF AUTOMOBILES ON'SUNDAY AND PRE-,
SCRIBING PENALTIES-FOR..VIOLATION; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES. OR_ SECTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN: -CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE- IT - ORDAINED -BY THE ,CITY "OF, ,BEAUMONT, TEXAS
Section 1.
Any person, firia, or corporation -:dealing in used or new
automobiles, or the proprietor....o.f any .such business, .or the-agent-
or
heagent'or employee of such person, firm or corporation who shall sell,
barter, trade,,, -or permit: his, place ofbusiness to.be open for, the-.
purpose of selling, bartering or trading used or new automobiles
on Sunday shall be'.guilty of a:.misdemeanor,. and upon conviction
thereof 'shall be fined. in any sum: not., Less then Ten ($10.00) Dol-
lars _nor more than Tw'o'-Hundred- ($200.00".)., --.Dollars. --
Section 2.
Any ordinance inconsistent with any of,the terms or provis-
-ions ofthis ordinance is -hereby repealed, -provided, however, that
such repeal -shall be'only.to the: extent of such -inconsistency, and
in all other respects .this ordinance shall be 'cumulative of other
ordinances relating to and covering the subject matter covered by
this ordinance.
