ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MihYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL W�RRANTY DEED

SIDERATION OF $2,551.00.
tii1T-IEREAS, the City of Beaumont is the owner of the herein-
after described land and premises; and,
WHEREAS,. said land was advertised for sale to the highest
and best bidder; and,
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened by the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of February, 1955; and
Claude J. Hammond submitted the highest and best bid in the amount
of Two Thousand Five Hundred and Fifty-one (e-kp2,551.00) Dollars, and
the City Council is of the opinion that said bid should be accepted
and that said property should be conveyed to Claude J. Hammond for
the amount of $2,551.00; and,
tiIHEREAS, said land which is to be conveyed, as aforesaid,
is more particularly described as follows, to wit.
Lots Fifteen (15) and Sixteen (16) in Block Thirty
(30) of the Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Texas, as the same appears on the -,nap or plat of
said Addition on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAMJONT,
TEXAS:
That the T.7ayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on be-
half of The City of Beaummnt, a special warranty deed conveying to
Claude J. Hammond the above-described property upon receipt of the
sum of $21551.00; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest
to same and to affix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
