OFFICIALS'OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE
AND.DELIVER QUITCLAIM DEED TO E. M.'CHESTER.
AND WIFE, MARY -CHESTER, QUITCLAIMING ITS
INTEREST IN LOTS ONE THROUGH SIX,.INCLUSIVE
OF.LINCOLN HEIGHTS EXTENSION TO THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT- JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS,...
WHEREAS, on January 2, 19401 W. W. Richardson,
'Sheriff of Jefferson .County, Texas, did by Sheriff's deed
convey the hereinafter described property by'tax deed to
The City of'Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, such deed

being recorded in Volume 454,' Page '285 of the -Deed Records
of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, said property -was -subsequently redeemed
by the payment of the taxes due to The City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, such payment being made by E. M.
Chester and wife, Mary. Chester; and
WHEREAS, at,the time of such payment, no deed was
secured from The City of Beaumont; or if said deed was se-
cured, it was never placed of record;,and
WHEREAS,it is the desire of the said E. M. Chester
and wife, Mary Chester, to secure a deed from said City to
said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, -.BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS
That.-the.Mayor, Elmo R. Beard, be and he is hereby authorized
to execute and . deli,ver for and -on -behalf of The City of Beau-
mont,,a_quitclaim deed to E. M. Chester and wife, Mary Chester,
conveying all its right, title, interest, claim and demand
in and to the,following described prope,rty,- to wit;
All of Lincoln Heights extension to the
City of Beaumont, -Jefferson County, Texas,

consisting of Lots No. 1 through-61.in-
clusive, as per map or plat of said addition
of record in Vol. VII, Page 133 et seq of:
the map records of Jefferson County, Texas,
as recorded in the office of the County Clerk
of said County., with all and singular its
right, title, interest, estate, claim and
demand in and to the hereditaments and
appurtenances thereto belonging or in any
*arise pertaining.;
and the City Clerk is authorized to attest same and place
the official seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
