AGENTS , EMPLOYEES,, DRIVERS OR SERVANTS, AND ANY AND .ALL PERSONS SELLING OR DELIVERING WOOD, TO RICK, STACK OR COED THE SAME, WHEN REQUESTED SO.TO DO -BY THE -PURCHASER -OR THE PERSON RECEIVING SUCH WOOD ON BEHALF OF THE PURCHASER;. PROVIDING A PENALTY; AICD DECLARING AN - EMERGENCY; BE IT ORDALNED BY THE CITY'COIMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. All owners or managers of-woodyards, their agents, employ -es, drivers or servants, any anal -every person engaged in the business of. selling or delivering wood to purchasers of the same, shall, on request of the purchaser or of the. person receiving .said wood for the purchaser, at place of deliverer, rick, stack or cord said wood so that same any be measured to ascertain whether the. quantity of wood delivered is the same as the quantity purchased;. Section 2 Any owner or manager of any wood yard, or any of their agents, employes or.servants, or any person engaged in the - business of'selling or delivering wood, who shall refuse to rick, stack or cord -any- wood sold or delivered bar .him to any -person,. on request of the person purchasing same or receiving same on behalf of the. purchaser•, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof in the Corporation Court, shall be fined in any sum not less than TTS and not more than, FIFTY DOLLARS: Section, 3. There being no Ordinance requiring vendors of wood to rick" staek,-or cord same on delivery to purchaser, a public -necessity exists for the passage o.f.such an Ordinance creating an emergency, and it is ordered that .the rule requiring ordinances to be read on three separate days be suspended and'that this ordinance shall go into effect from and aft.er_its. passage: - Passed by the affirmative.. vote of all members of the Commission, this 18th day .of �?ecember, Ad, -Di 1923:'
