AN ORDINANCE'
An ordinance*entitled an ordinance repealing an
ordinance entitled an ordinance,"defining residential districts
in the City of Beaumont; providing that a permit -shall first
be obtained from the City, as provided for therein before any
house, building or improvement of any kind may be built or
constructed or used, or any vacant property may be used for
-- --any business -purpose- therein named --or therein contemplated- in -- ---
any residential district, as defined; providing for application
for such permit to be made to the City Commission, in accordance
with certain requirements therein provided, and prescribing
duties and powers of the commission as to and when acting upon
such applications; prescribing pains and penalties for the
violation of said ordinance; providing that the invalidity
of part shall not invalidate all of said ordinance`�repealing
all laws in conflict therewith; and declaring.an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE DITY COMMISSION
OF THE C ITY OF BEAUMONT :
SECTION 1.
That that certain ordinance enacted by the City

Commission on April 199 1921,w entitle d an ordinance defining
residential districts in the City of Beaumont; providing that
a permit shall first be obtained from the City, as provided
for therein, before any house, building or improvement of
any kind may be built or.constructed or used, or any vacant
property may be- used for any business purpose therein'named
or therein contemplated in any residential district, as de-
fined; providing for application for such permit to be made
to the City Commission, in accordance with certain -require-
ments therein provided, and prescribing duties and powers of
the commission as to and when acting upon such applications;
prescribing pains and penalties for the violation of said
ordinance; providing that the invalidity of part sliAll- riot
invalidate all of saidordinance; repealing all laws in
conflict therewith; -and declaring an emergency", be and the
same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall take effect.on this the
29th. day of November, A. D., 1921.
Passed by the affirmative vote of all members
of the Commission this the 29th. day of November, A. D.,
