ENTITLED AN ORDIUANCE APnORTIONING A TAX OF FORTY-THREE CENTS AND EIGHT MILLS ($..438) ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (4100) VALUATION OF ALL TAPABLE PROPERTY TITHIN THF LII�jTTS OF TETE CITY OF BEAU- -- FONT TEXAS, HFPVTOFORE LFVIED AWD-ORDERED COLLECTET) BY AN ORDINANCE PA""FD FY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUM02T ON THE 14th DAY OF OCTOBER, 1919 REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREUITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the tax of forty-three cents and eight mills (8.438) on each one hundred dollars ($lUO) valuation on all taxable property within the linits of the Ci j y of Beaurnont, Texas heretofore levied and ordered collected by an Ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas on the l4th day of October 19191 be and the same is hereby apportioned among the various interest and bond sinking funds as follows: To the interest and sinking fund of funding bonds ✓N ✓ o. 1 dated April 5th, 1899, five mills 0.005) . To the interest and sinking fund: of.fitnding -bonds �--No. 2 dated December 1st, 1902, eight mills ($.008). To the interest and sinking fund of park bonds V /No. 2, dated January let, 1918, one cent and three mills ($.013). SECTION 2. That the City Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby instructed to prorate the said sum of -forty-three cents and eight mills ($.438) according to the provisions -of this -Ordinance and to so pass_e;nt his statement and report to the City Treasurer that said officer may be able to place all collections made under said tax to the credit of the proper fund and the same shall not be diverted or used for any other puxp6se. SECTION 3. That all laws and parts of laws in erpwith be, and the same are hereby repealed iri _so far as thconflict with this Ordinance. - SECTION 4. The fact that.no apportionment has been made of the forty three cents and eight mills ($:438) levied in order to take care of the interest and sinking funds for the bonded indebtedness of the City of Beaumont, creates a public necessity, and imperative public emergency necessitating the6susPension of the lavi requiring Ordinances to be read at three regular meetings.
