IUY Providing that no electrical wiring in any building shall be conte cealed before inspected by the City electrician; Providing a card system to indicate the inspection ; Providing a penalty and declaring an emergency. Beit ordained by the City Council of the City of Beaumont. Rection 1. - - (A) No so called concealed wiring for which a permit is issued or required, shall be lathed over'or in any manner concealed from sight until inspected and accepted by the City electrician. (B) All outlets must be loomed before same will be allowed to be concealed from view. Roabinetaccut-w-aoute �lus.h.L-switehas andbe permanently installed except the lighting'fixtur.es themselves. (C) Any person having charge of the construction alteration or repair of any building, or any.-otheriiperson who covers or conceals - _--or causes to be ---covered -or. concealed -any wiring for which --&-permit has been issued or required, before the said wiring has been inspectL- ed and approved without having officially notified the city electrician_ at least forty eight hours previous shall be subject to the penalty', provided for violation of this Ordinance. Section 2. Then.any electricial wiring has been roughed in and is ready for inspection a red provided by the'city electrician shall be attach* ed to said wiring by the person in charge of said work and said card shall remain until the wiring is inspected by the city electrician _who shall upon inspection and approval of said work, remove said red card and replace same with a blue card indicating that the work has been inspected and approved. Section 3. There being no ordinance requiring electrical work to re- main open until after inspection a public neccesity exsists for -'U-h,-6 passage of this ordinance and it is ordered that the rule requiring ordinances to be read'at three separate meetings be suspended and this ordinance shall go into effect Brom and after its passage.
