and assigns,for a period of ten ycar s,
the right and privilege to construct and lay
a side or switch track: in the_ Alley adjoining
Blocks Three and Four of the Mamillan
Addition to the City of Beaiunont.

Section 1.
'iglat ;-Ile Beaumont Shur -Lake- & Western Railroad-Corpany is hereby
granted the right and privilege to constrruct.,lay and maintain in
the Alley adjoining Blacks Three and Four in the McMillan Addition
to tine City of Beaumont,a side or switch track of standard gua.ge,
and to operati, its trains and cars thereon -for a period of ten years.
The said. side track or awiteh is 'a. continuation of the tracks of
Company n4.w existing on the.North Nest, side 'o,f Blocks Orie,
Two, Three and Four of the 1VICIVUllan Addition to Bealzront,a.nd the
track to be c onstracted under this ordinance is `represented and in-
dieated by a red line on the blue print attached hereto :a-nd made ;,-
part of this ordinance.
section. 2.
Said track shall extend from the Company's tracks alreLftay in existence
at a point opposite Lot 12 in Block 3 of said addition, and extend
thence diagonally imtil it enters said alley at a point oppouite
Lot No. 9 in Block 3, and thence,in said alley,and across Archie
Street . to a point op-cosit.e the dividing line between Leat., 3. and 9
in Block 4. And said track shah be used as an indistrial track
frac the benefit of the Gulf Refining Company which Compa2tiy is erect-
ing an tail depot and other im-proveinents on some of said
pa�o�oerty .
Section 3.
No -cars of any kind shall be allowed to stand on that portion of
said snitch track which is in any public street of the City of
Beawmont.
Section 4.
Vie grantee hereunder shall keep up and maintain a crossing over
said trach 'satisfactory :to the City Mlgineer of the City of Beaumont
ani, upon failure so to do,the City shall have the right to remove
said track from tho streets and collect the costs. thereof from the
said grantee.
Section 5.
The foregoing rights acid .privileges are granted ttmon the express
condition that the grantee its successors and assigns shall within
thirty days after final passa.;;e of this ordinance,file with the City
Seeretaxny its written acceptance of this Ordinance.
Section G.
Unless the grantee shall have completed the track herein sti_ lated,
in case it - oT its -s accessory Or, assigns _accept_ -this , ordinance, within
,120 days after final massage and publication of this ordinance ,then
and in that event -the same shall be and become,null and void.
Section 7.
This ordinance is gassed subject to the Charter and Ordinances of the
City' of Beaumont,and all future. Charters and ordinances that may be
passed thereunder.
Section g
This ordinance ahall go into effect from and after its ;;)assage, filing
of acceptance, and publication, -and shall continue in force for a
period of ten years3,unless sooner anrnilled as provided i_n said
or dinances.
