WHEREAS, on January 29, 2019 the City Council of the City of Beaumont Texas
passed Resolution No. 19-024 authorizing the City Manager to execute a Consignment
Agreement between the City of Beaumont and Clarke Distribution, Inc., of Houston,
Texas, for one year, with an additional one year renewal option, for the sale of high
quality tennis merchandise at the Tennis Center; and,
WHEREAS, the correct name of the company is Clarke Distributing Co.; and,
WHEREAS, an amendment to Resolution No. 19-024 is necessary to reflect the
correct name of the vendor as Clarke Distributing Co., of Houston, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT Resolution No. 19-024 is hereby amended to award Clarke Distributing
Co., of Houston, Texas, a one year agreement, with an additional one year renewal
option, for the sale of high quality tennis merchandise at the Tennis Center; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Clarke Distributing Co., of Houston, Texas, for the
purposes described herein. c
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
