WHEREAS, on December 20, 2018, one (1) bid was received for the Sewer Lift
Station Wet Well Cleaning Contract Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Water Utilities Engineer evaluated the bid and found that the bid
was over the Engineer's estimate; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City of • Beaumont Water Utilities
Engineer to reject the bid; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the best interest of the citizens of
Beaumont to accept the bid for the Sewer Lift Station Wet Well Cleaning Contract
Project and that same should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the bid received for the Sewer Lift
Station Wet Well Cleaning Contract Project.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
