Be it Ordained by the City Council of the
City of Beaumont, Texas; -
SECTION 1
That there is hereby created a Boaxd for the
examination of -lumbars i.--vithin the City of Beau!iont,
Texas, to ba _sown as by Exanl.nrg and Supexvisinh
Board of 21urpbexs.
Said Boaxd_ shall consist of
the C:ty Health Officer, City +noineer, the City
Inspeetox of Plumbing,, one Vaster Plumbex of not less
than ten years active and continuous experience as
a I.lumbex and one Joilxneyman ilumbex of not less
that five years of such active and continuous experience;
the first three above m-htione(�. members are to have
terms of service upon said Board during their contirnance
in their respective offices, and the last t:vvo shall
be ar)rpointecd by the I;iayox and City Comic it wit lin five
days after this Ordinance to:ties effect; their res;)ective

SECTION 2
ldembe x.s of the Examining and. Supery is � n Board
of I'lu-mbexs shall receive rio cogpensation for their
services on said Board.
SECTION: 3
Said Board shall examine and pass upon all
persons now engaged in* the business of plumbing; either.
as 1.1 sten ..Plumber, Employing Plumber or Journeyman Plumber
and all pens ons who ma.y hereaf ter wish to engage_ in _
the, business of pluinbing, either be Irlast.er Plumper;,
Employing Plumber or J,ourneyman Plumber within the
City of .Beaumont ,- and also all persons i`vii o may apply

SECTION 4
No 1 ,cense shall be issued to any -person, firm
or 0orp01rat ion to carry on or work at t he busines s of
plumbing- or. to act as City Inspector of Plumbing until
he, they or, it, shall have appeared before the Examining
€and "Supervising Board of Plumbers for examination, and
- - registration. and shall have .successfully passed the
required examination. _
SECTION 5 .

SEC T ION 6
Stich li"enses shall be non -transferable.
SEC T ION 7
Each applicant f or examination for plumber's
liacense shall pay to such person as the. Examining and
Supervising Board of Plumbers may designate to re-cei-ve
the same, the sum. of Three Dollars for each Master
Plumber examined, the sum of Two Dollars for each
Journeyman Plumber examined, which fees -shall be used
by said Board to deft ay- all the-legit=iivate expense s,
and the residue, .-if. any, shall be paid over to the'
