HOMESTEAD TRACT, AND R.ECONVEYING THE PROPERTY, AS FULLY DESCRIB- ED IN DEED FROM JULIUS M. GORDON, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS TRUSTEE, ET AL, RECORDED IN VOLUME 977, PAGE 612, DEED RECORDS, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND RETAINING RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE TO' MAINTAIN EXISTING UTILITIES NOW BENEATH THE SURFACE, AND TO PLACE ADDITIONAL UTILITIES BENEATH THE SURFACE WHEN NECESSARY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT.' TEXAS: That that certain 30 -foot strip running from the north side of North Street to the south side of Harrison Street, more fully described in deed from Julius M. Gordon, Individually and as Trustee, et al, dated April 18, 1955, of record in Volume 977, page 612, Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, be, and the same is hereby authorized to be vacated and abandoned, subject to the right and privilege of The City of Beaumont, and other utility companies, to use and maintain the existing sewer, water and other utility lines now beneath said surface, and the further right to place additional utility lines beneath said surface when necessary; and that the title to such vacated and abandoned street shall revert to and become the property of the parties entitled theretoi that upon the payment to The City of Beaumont of the sum of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Six and 78/ 100 Dollars ($3, 806, 78) being the full amount of all money which The City of Beaumont has expended for storm sewer and street work on said property, by the persons who origin- ally conveyed the same in the deed above described, that the Mayor of The City of Beaumont be, and he is hereby authorized to reconvey said described property by the execution of a deed to the original grantors named in said original conveyance.
