AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING GULF
STATES UTILITIES COMPANY TO PLACE IN
EFFECT REVISED RATE SCHEDULES, TO -WIT:
202, 220-T2 mTD 1+01 -B -T AND NEW RIDER
SCHEDULES, 301-H AND 301 -TC IN THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, EFFECTIVE AS TO DIETER
READINGS MADE BY SUCH COMPANY ON AND AFTER
JANUARY 1, 1956.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company on 3 , 1956 has requested
authority to substitute Revised Schedules 202, 220 , and 1 -B -T and New Rider Sched-
ules 301-H and 301 -TC for the then currently effective Schedules 202, 220-T, and 1+01 -B -T
and Revised Schedules 202, 220-T, and 1+01 -B -T and New Rider Schedules 301-H and 301 -TC

have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Beaumontand approved by the City

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, TEXAS
Section 1.
That Gulf States Utilities Company is hereby authorized to place into effect as to
readings made by it on and after January 1, 1956, of its customers' meters located in
Beaumont, Texas, Revised Rate Schedules 202, 220-T, and 1+01 -B -T and New Rider Schedules
301-H and 301 -TC which Revised and New Rider Rate Schedules have heretofore been filed
by Gulf States Utilities Company with the City of Beaumont and Gulf States Utilities
Company is further authorized to discontinue, upon said Revised and New Rider Schedules
being placed in effect, its previously effective and filed Rate Schedules 202, 220-T, and
1+01 -B -T.
Section 2.
That nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed in any manner now or here-
after limiting or modifying the right and power of the City Council under the law to
regulate the rates charged by Gulf -States Utilities-Company,for its services within the
City of Beaumont.
