AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY- CLERK TO EXECUTE A. QUIT=CLAIM DEED
QUITCLAIMING AND CONVEYING TO.P. J. LOWE THE
EAST EIGHTY-FIVE (85) FEET OF LOTS ONE :(1),
TWO.(2) and THREE (3), BLOCK NINETEEN (19) OF
THE OGDEN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT IN
CONSIDERATION.FOR THE SAID P.. J. LOV1E PAYING
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT IN CASH THE SUM OF
EIGHT HUNDRED_FIFTY & No/100 (850.00) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is the owner of the here-
inafter described land and premises, the City having purchas-
ed the said land at a tax foreclosure; and,
WHEREAS, the City is anxious to sell the said land and
P. J. Lowe has offered to pay the City the stun of Eight Hun-
dred Fifty & No/100 (850.00) Dollars, for a quitclaim deed
to the said property; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to be to the interest of the City
of Beaumont to sell and quit4claim the said land to the said
P. J. Lowe for said consideration, said land being described
as follows, t o -wit ;
The East ' eighty-five (85) feet of Lots
One. (1), Two (2), and Three (3), Block
Nineteen (19) of the Ogden Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
as.per the map or plat of the said Addition
of record in the office of the Clerk of 'Jeffer-
son County, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute to the said P. J. Lowe a
Quit -claim Deed to the above described land and premises, said

deed to be delivered upon the payment by the said P.J. Lowe
of the said sum of Eight Hundred Fifty & NoI100 (850.00)
Dollars.
