AN ORDINANCE.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO J. T.
REIDY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEKAS, A RE-
LEASE OF THAT CERTAIN TAY, JUDGMENT AGAINST LOT
TWELVE''(12) BLOCK TWENTY-TWO (22) OF THE CARTWRIGHT
TERRACE•ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, SAID JUD*%
GHENT BEING OF RECORD IN VOLUME FIVE, PAGE 609 OF
THE TAX JUDGMENT RECORDS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF
THE COUNTY CLERK OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, on to -wit, the 21st day -of March, A. D. 1940,
a judgment was obtained by the City of Beaumont against the
owner of Lot Twelve (12), Block Twenty-two (22) of the Cart-
wright Terrace Addition to the City of Beaumont for taxes due
on said property for the years 1933 through 1938 inclusive,
said judgment being of record in Volume 5, page 609, of the Tax
Judgment Records in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson
County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, J. T. Reidy of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
has heretofore paid off and satisfied said judgment and is des-
irous of obtaining a full and complete release of said judgment
and said judgment lien:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN2D BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BEA'MM ONT :
That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they hereby are in
all things authorized and directed to execute and deliver to
J. T. Reidy of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,. a release of
that certain judgment and judgment lien dated March 21, 1940,
against Lot Twelve (12), Block Twenty-two (22) of the Cartwright
Terrace Addition to the City of Beaumont , the same being of
record in Volume 5, Page 609 of the Tax Judgment Records on
file in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas.
