AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO EXECUTE A PARTIAL RE-
LEASE TO VINCENT PLATA OF THE TAX LIEN ON A CER-
TAIN TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE JEFF CHA.ISON ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT: LOT NO. SIX (6) IN
BLOCK NO. FORTY-FIVE (45), OF THE JEFF CHAISON AD-
DITION TO TIM CITY OF BEAUMONT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor of the City of Beaunont is hereby
authorized to execute a partial release of the lien estab-
lished in Cause No. 24591 in the District Court of Jefferson
County,Texas, styled City of Beaumont vs. Mrs. Katherine Plaia,
et al, in which the said city of Beaumont obtained a judgment
in the sun of One Hundred Seventy-four and 18/100 ($1.74.13)
Dollars, which is the costs of the sidewalks constructed for
the defendants by the plaintiff on the South One-half (�) of
Lots No. One (1) and Six (6),_ in Block Forty-five (45) of the
Jeff Chaison Addition and Lot Eleven (11), in Block One (1)
of the South End Addition,to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, as per map or plat of record in the office of
the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas. Said partial
release is to be -executed to Vincent Plaia on Lot No. Six (6),
in Block No. Forty-five (45) of the Jeff Chaison Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, for and in con-
sideration of the payment to the City of Beaumont of the sun.
of Fifty-eight and 06/100 ($58.06) Dollars by the said Vincent
Plaia. Said release is not to affect the lien of the City on
the remainder of the property involved in Cause No. 24591.

YHEREAS, on. the 14th or 19th day of Septembers
1925, in,Cauoe No. 24591, in the District Court of Jefferson County,
Texas, styled City of Beaumont vs. yrs. Katherine Plaia; Vincent
P1aie,.and Rosie Plaia, the said City of Beaumont, plaintiff in the
above entitled and numbered cause, recovered judgment against the
defendants, Mrs. Katherine Plaie, Vincent Plaia and: Rosie P1aia, in
the sum of One Hundred Seventy-four and 18/100 (0174.18) Dollars, plus
seven (7%) per cent interest per annum and costs, said judgment was re-
covered for the costs of sidevialks constructed for the defendants by
the plaintiff in front of the South one-half (1/2) of Lot No. One (1)
and Lot No, Six (6) in Block No. Forty -Five (45) of the Jeff Chaison
Additiont and Lot No. Eleven (11) in Block No. One (1) of the South End
Addition to,the City of Beaumont, as shown by map or plat of such ad-
dition recorded in the County Clerk's Office of Tefferson County, Texas,
said judgment being recorded in Volume 131 page 142 of the Judgment
Minutes of the 60th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas, and
WEMEAS, a lien was created against the.above desdribed
property in favor of plaintiff as it existed on the 30th day of September
1934 and directing that the Clerk of the Court issue an Order .of Sale
directed to the Clerk or any Constable of Jefferson County, Texas, com-
mending him to seize and sell the above described tracts of land as under
execution, and that he apply the proceeds thereof to the payment and
satisfaction of the said sum of One Hundred Seventy Four and 18/100
($'174.18) Dollars, together with all interest that may be due thereon
for costs of suit; and whereas, no Order of Sale has been issued on the
above described judgment and said property w4s not levied on by any -
Sheriff or Constable of Jefferson County, Texas; and whereas, said
judgment has been paid in full.
NOW, THEREFORE, .KNOW ALL MEN. BY THES.E.PRD3h7TS:,.

cash in hand paid to the City of Beaumont, a municipal corporation,
acting by and through its duly authorized agent, the receipt of which

However, it is to be understood and agraed that the
above Release,is to Release,. Cancel and Annull all'liens on the above
described,property owed or held by the City of.Beaumont, as a result of
the above described. judgment,,bu.t is not to be considered a cancellation
or Release of the Liens on.any other property involved or created by -'the
above described Judgment,,
