Entitled an Ordinance, reducing the width of the
roadway or carriageway of Liberty avenue from Fimt street to
Eighth street, from its present. width to a width of 27 feet and
increasing the width of the Aidewalks to correspond thereto.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TATE CITY OF
BEA.UMONT :
SECTION I.
That the roadway or carriageway of Liberty Avenue from
First street to Eighth street be reduced from its present
width to a width of 27 feet and thesidewalks be increased to
correspond thereto.
SECTION II.
Whereas numerous property owners along said street
are anxious to place stone concrete curbing in front of their
residences,and
Whereas Liberty avenue from Magnolia avenue to First
street has been reducgd to a width of 27 feet creates an
emergency and an imperative necessity for the narrowing of the
above named portion of said. ;street and the rules requiring
ordinances to be react at three separate meetings be and the
same is hereby snBpended and this ordinance shall go into
force and effect from and after its passage and lawful
publication
