HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 85-ACHIEF OF THE FIFE DEPARTLIENT. The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive a salary of Twenty-Fout--Hundred ( 2400.00) Dollars per year and no other perquisites. SECTION II. WHEREAS vacancies will occur in the offices of the Assistant City Secretary, Daputy Registrar of Vital Statistics, and Clerk of the Corporation Court on the first day of Bebruary A.D. 1913, and as the Charter of the City of Beaumont does not permit an officer's salary to be decreased during his tenure of office, creating an emergency for the passage of this ordinance, therefore the rule requiring Ordinances to be read at three separate meetings, be and the same is hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall go into effect, from and after its passage and lawful publication, provided, it shall not be effective even though the above conditions are fulfilled until the First day of February A.D.1913. D. 1912. BE IT ORDAINED BY TFE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAMIONT : SECTION I. i That those sections relative to the salaries of the Assistant City Secretary, Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics, -- Clerk of the -Corpora 'en_Court and Chief of the Fire Department, of an Ordinance fixing the salaries of said officers of the City of Beaumont, Texas, for a term beginning April 1912 and ending April 1914, passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont on the 21st day of.February A.D. 1912, be amended so that same shall hereafter read as follows, to -wit: I - . ASSISTANT CITY SECRETARY. The Assistant City Secretary shall receive a salary of Three -Hundred ( 300.00 ) Dollars per annum. DEPUTY REGISTRAR OF VITAL STATISTICS. The Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics shall receive a salary of Three -Hundred ( 300.00) Dollars per annum. CLERK OF CORPORATION COURT. The Clerk of the Corporation Court shall receive a salary of Six -hundred (-$ 600.00) Dollars per annum and all fees that inay be attachable by law in favor of said officer shall ,here -- after be taxablz- in favor of the City of Beaumont, and shall be paid into the General Fund of the City.
