G SUT�O�d, SECRETARY OF THE CITY OF BEAT2LONT : - Referr. ing to theordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont,and approved on to-wit,the {_ day of' July, 1912, reneging, extending, confirming and granting a franchise unto the Beaumont Electric Light & Power Company, its successors and assigns for an additional period of twenty-five yease from and after the expiration of the present franchise owned by the Beaumont Electric Light & Power Compony,we invite your attention to the fact that Section Three (3) of this ordinance reads as follows: " The extension hereinbefore given is granted upon the express condition that said gr_,.ntee,Beau- mont Electric Light & Power Company,its successors or assigns, shall,within thirty (30) days after the pas- s,age and approval of this ordinance by the Mayor of the city of Beaumont,file with the Secretary its written acceptance hereof, executed by its proper officers.;and upon failure of said grantee, its succes- sors or assigns to file its acceptance,as herein pro- vided for,then the extension herein granted shall be null and void."
