ART . 0RDINANCEs
Entitled an ordinance repealing:an ordinance en-
titled an ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds for
the purpose of purchasing, constructing and maintaining
parks, either within the limits of the City of Beaumont.,
or wi thout the limits of the City of Beaumont, and Provid-
ing for the levying and collecting of a. tax to pay the in -4
terest and create a sinking fund for the redemption of
said bonds, and which was passed on the 7th day of Sep-
tember, A.D. 1911,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That, whereas, heretofore, to -wit, on the 7th day
of September, A.D., 1911, the City Council of the City of
Beaumont passed an ordinance authorizing the issuance
of bonds of the City of Beaumont in the sum of.$60,000,
for the purpose of purchasing, constructing and' maintain
ing parks, either within the limits or without the limits
of the City of Beaumont, and,
Whereas, a record containing the steps. taken by
the 'City Council in ordering the election for. said pjjytpose
the passage of said ordinance has been submitted . to
ALTO the Attorney General of the State of Texas, and,
Whereas, the Attorney General has asserted that he
-4 refuse to approve far registration said bonds,, and,
Whereas, it will therefdre be necessary to re -submit
this matter to the voters of the City of Beaumont, who

are property tax payers,
Therefore, the ordinance above referred to, be
nd it is hereby repealed and -to all intent and purpose
null and vo id.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall go into effect and force from
and after its passage, approval ,by the Mayor, and lawful
publication.
