.Entitled an ordinance ordering an election to be held
in th-0 City of Beaumont to determine if bonds of said City shall
be issued for the purpose of purchasing land it thin the limits of
the City of Beaumont and constriacting thereon wharves,, ,,wharf
terminals, including docks, warehons'es, elevators, loading and
unloading devices, ar.d terminal railways for -the City of Beaumont
naming the time and places of holding said -election and appointing
officers thereof and providing for the manner of holding said
election. and the wing of notice thereof.
BE IT ORDAINED-BY.THE CITY 0011110Ir OF THEa CITY OF BEAU1,10UT:

That an election be held in the City of Beaumont, Texas
on the -19th. day of Fahy, A. D. 1914, at which election the following
p-ropobition4- shall be submitted.
2.
Shall the City Oouncil of the City of Beaumont be
authorized to issue bonds of- said City hereinafter designated
as Wharf and Dock Bands in the sum of 17.5.,;000; ;payable forty
(40) years after date i with ' the option of .rec:'eeming sake .at any
time after'twenty ( 201 years from date,' bearing', interest at the.
,tate of five (6%) per cent per annum, payable semi-annually,
and to levy a tax sufficient to pay the interest on the said. bonds
and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem same at maturity,
for the purpose of purchasing land within the limits of the City
of, Beaumont and constructing thereon wharves, wharf terminals,
including docks, warehouses, elevators, loading and unloadi�
devices and terminal railways for the City of Beau -wont.

Jefferson County Court House.
The following named persons are appointed presiding
judges of their respective wards with the authority to select and
appoint their own clerks:

In the Second: Ward- P.", A . Dowlen,

That said election .shall be held imd.er the provisions
of the State law governing elections a -.d only qualified voters I
rho are property tax payers of the City of Beaumont shall be alloti-,rea
to vote and all voters desiring to support the proposition to
issue +Iharf and Dock Bonds shall have printed on their ballots the
words.

printed on their ballots the fiords:
