An Ordinance extending Avenue "A", in. theClty of Beaumont,
frora its intersection with Collis Street. Northward to the intersection
of the Right -of -Way of. the Sabine & East Texas Railroad Com-pal2y, near.
the Right -of -Way of the Texas & New Orleans Ral lway Company, through
and across the property of Tom Robinson.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI`1'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT, as follows, to -wit:
Sec,.
The City Council of the City of Beatmont, acting for and
on behalf of the City of Beaumont, in Jefferson County, Texas, does
hereby extena Avenue "A" from its intersection with Collis Street North-
ward to the intersection of the Ri4--,ht-of-Warr of the Sabine & East Texas
Railroad Corapan y, o-ithe Right-of-Wa3, of the Texas & New Orleans
Railway Coiallany, through and across the property of Toru. Robinpon, in
Block #37, of the City- of Beaumont, so as to cover and include the
fractional part of Lot and a sufficient amount of Lot #'i, in Block
#37 to make a strip of land sixty (60) feet wide extending from the
intersection
of
Collis Street
Northwatrd to the intersection
of the
Right -of -Way
of
the Sabine &
East Texs.o Railroad Company.
The said
extension to
be
designated as
a continuation of Avenue "A",
and to
be used for the benefit of the citizens ff the City of Beaumont as a
free and unobstruct`e'd hit hway.
Sec. Ar
The Mairor of the City of Beamunont is hereby author-
ized and directed to execute a deed in la -vv from the City of Beaumont
conveying all of that portion of Collis Street West of Avenue "A", and
terminating oin the East line of the Saline & East Texas Railroad

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAU-
MONT, as follows, t o -wit

The City Council of -the City of Beaumont, acting for and
on behalf of the City of Beaumont, in Jefferson County, Texas, .does
hereby extend Avenue "A" from its intersection with Collis Street North-
ward to the intersection of the Right-of-Wa;.r of the Sabine & East Texas
Railroad Compan y, or the Right -of -Way of the Texas & New Orleans
Railway Company, through and acr oss. the property of Tom Robinpon, in
Block #37, of the City of Beaumont, so ds to :cover and include the
fractional part of Lot 4#7, and a sufficient amount of Lot #8, in Block
#37 to make a strip of land sixty (60) feat. wide extending from the
intersec -ion of Collis Street Northward to the intersection of the
Right -of -Way of the Sabine & East Texas Railroad Company. The said
extension to be designated as a continuation of Avenue "A", and to
be used for the benefit of the citizens ff the City of Beaumont as a
free and unobstruct'e'd highway.
Sec. 2e
The Mayor of . the City of Beaumont is hereby author-
ized and directed to execute a deed in law from the City of Beaumont
conveying all of that portion of Collisi Street West of Avenue "A", and
terminating on the East line of the Sabine & East Texas Railroad
Right -of -Way.
It
is Provided,
however,
that prior
to the
delivery of
such a deed,
that
the Mayor of
the City
of Beaumont
shall
require
from Tom Robunson a good and sufficient deed in law in favor of the
City of Beaumont to the property above referred to, belonging to
Tom Robirjson and lying between Collis Street and the Right -of -Way of
the Sabine & East Texas Railroad Company, according to the field notes
of the City Engineer of the City of Beaumont. -The consideration moving
from the City of Beaumont to deed to said Tom Robinson, to be the con-
veyance
of that part of Collis
Street,
west-
of Avenue "A", and
termin-
ating on
the east line of the
Sabine &
East
Texas Right -of -Way,
and the
improvement by said City of the property conveyed by Torn Robinson, as
hereinafter
specified, for
the use
of the
citizens of
the
.C:Ity
of
Beaumont, as
a free public
highway,
The
consideration
to
said
City
being the conveyance by said Tom. Robinson to the City, of the property
to be used in making the extension of Avenue "A".
Sec. S.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Vayor of the. City of
Beaumont shall cause the said property hereinabove described, and to
be conveyed by Tom Robinson, to be improved from its intersection
with Collis Street to the Right -of -flay of the Sabine & East Texas

Railway Company, by grading gaid street and putting it in such condition
as will give the public free and unmolested use of same, and the costs
thereof to be defrayed out of the, Street & Bridge Fund, and under the
direction and supervision of the City Engineer of the City of Beau-
mont. Said street to be graded on or before August 10th, A.D. 1908.

We, your Ordinance Committee, beg to report that we
.recomme the passage of the foregoing Ordinance.

hereinafter specified, for the use of the citizens of the .City of
Beaumont, as a free public highway. The consideration to said City
being the conveyance by said Toro Robinson to the City, of the property
to be used in making the extension of Avenue "A".
Sec. 3.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Mayor of the. City of
Beaumont shall cause the said property hereinabove described, and to
be conveyed by Tom Robinson, to be improved from its intersection
with Collis Street to the Right -of -May of the Sabine & East Texas
Railway Company, by grading gnid street and putting it in such condition
as will give the public free and unmolested use of same, and the casts
thereof to be defrayed out- of the S.treet' & Bridge Fund, and under the
ddrection. and supervision of the City Engineer of the City of Beau-
mont. Said street to be graded on or before.August 10th, A.D. 1908.
