Gentlemen: - Your petitioner„ would respectfully represent that__. it is the owner"of the Ogden Addition in the City of Beaumont; a.nd is desirous of improving the streets. in that addition. That ..at its oven expense, putting in curbing and building side walks. It desires to further improve the property by grading and shelling .the streets. The out laynecessaryfor this improvementL.will be considerable andr:would respectfully request„the City Council to assist. in this by furnishing the grades for tYie - side ,walks, and curbing, grading the streets and distributing the material to..be .used �” them. And further that the City permit, y,�ur petitioner -to reduce they width of the driveway on these streets from forty feet; to Twenty seven feet:, making the sidewalks 16-1/2 feet: wide. The intention is to shell or macadamize the streets from curb to curb which would be preferable to a 40 foot street with a twelve (12) foot drive way inithe center. And further, that this Corporat- ion is one of the principal tax payers in this City and while your assistance in this will be beneficial to this Company it will largely increase the revenue of the City by the enhancement': in the value of property in that vicinity.
