ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT OUT
OF AND A PART OF LOT 13, BLOCK 1, DOWLEN
WEST ADDITION TO.THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY -OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That portion: of the general utility easement, as `hereinafter
described, in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, said portion
of said easement to be abandoned being described as follows,
to -wit :
BEING a portion of a utility easement out of
and a part of Lot 13, Block 1, Dowlen West
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Texas, as
recorded in Volume II, page 6 of the Map
Records of Jefferson County, Texas, and bang
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 13,
Block 1, Dowlen West Addition, said corner also
the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 1, said addi-
tion;
THENCE in a northerly direction along the east
line of Lot 13, Block 1, said addition a distance
5.50 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE in a westerly direction parallel to and 5.50
feet north of the south line of Lot 13, Block 1,
said addition, a distance of 30.00 feet to the PLACE
OF BEGINNING of the tract herein described;
THENCE continuing in a westerly direction parallel to
and 5.50 feet north of the said south line of Lot 131,
Block 1, said addition, a distance of 70.00 feet to a
point for corner, said point being 2'5 feet east of a
point in the east right-of-way line of the Lockwood
Drive 60 foot right-of-way;
THENCE in a northerly direction parallel to and
25 feet from the east right-of-way line of said
Lockwood Drive, same right-of-way line being the
west property line of Lot -13 -,-Block 1, said addi-
tion, a distance of 2.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE in an easterly direction parallel to and 7.50
feet north of the said south line of Lot 13, Block 1,
said addition, a distance of 55.00 feet to a.point
THENCE in a southerly direction a distance of
5.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
PASSED by the City Council this ��L day of July,
1969.

personally appeared James D. McNicholas,, Mayor of the City of
Beaumont, and Myrtle Corgey, Deputy City Clerk of the City of
Beaumont, known to me to be the persons whose names are sub-
scribed to the Foregoing instrument,, and acknowledged to be
that they executed the same for the purposes and consideration
therein expressed and in the capacity therein stated.
